You. Are. Amazing.

"When you get to the end of your rope, let go! You were meant to soar like an eagle and you can't do that while hanging from a rope." ~Jennifer Medcalf, 2010

I believe that God created us in His image. He created us with unique gifts, talents, skills, and personalities. There is a version of you that is so powerful, so beautiful, so wonderful that if you even get a glimpse of this person, you would totally be amazed. Your ability to know your value would be so great that you would overflow with adding value to those around you.

Not many of us feel this way today. We either think we are nothing with very little to contribute or we think we are awesome because we figured out how to get more than our fair share of what we think life is about. Stuck in a rut. Comparing ourselves to others to make sure we have at least as much as them. Holding onto a rope for dear life, hoping that nothing comes along to cause us to lose our grip. Do you identify with any of these?

Then I would like to invite you to look at what you are holding onto that you do not need. Perhaps it's the pain of the past. Someone or something hurt you and you figured out a way to keep that from happening again. Or maybe you have found something that eases your pain. Causes you to forget about it. Numbs it. It could be that it's not so much pain you are holding onto but false beliefs. You thought something was supposed to be a certain way but it didn't turn out that way at all. So why even try again. Your expectations did not match reality and so you gave up dreaming, hoping, working toward something better.

I want you to be the best version of you that you can possibly be! You weren't meant to be a caterpillar. You weren't meant to be hanging from ropes. You weren't meant to be dulling or pretending the pain you feel is not real. You were meant to be a butterfly! Or soaring like an eagle! You were created to be something more and it is inside of you already - waiting for you to say YES.

Are you ready? Do you hear yourself calling out to step into something that is both thrilling and scary at the same time? If you would like some ideas on how to let go feel free to reach out to me. And I will be sharing more of my own story - the path that I took, and continue to take - to start recognizing myself. And I feel more alive today than I have ever felt.
